I ended up binge reading this book. Richard James gives a personal and often heartfelt look back at his time making Space Precinct. You can understand his frustration at the show's cancellation just as it found its style and audience. Near the end there is a great picture of Richard looking at his Officer Orrin prosthetic head as if unknowingly saying goodbye to an old friend for the last time. If you are a fan of Gerry Anderson, a fan of Richard's or just fascinated by television production, you will enjoy this book. One take away for me was, What's exciting on screen, requires a cast with incredible patience and the ability to survive long periods boredom, mixed with brief moments of inspiration and fun. Thanks Richard.
A great book about a much overlooked series, by someone who was there!! Richard James provides a wealth of insight, and behind the scenes photos to tell the story of his journey with the show.
Nice price in a sale
A delightful and interesting story which follows Richard James as a new face in the industry only to be encased in a mask and dubbed. However this is the story of Gerry Anderson's Space Precinct, another in a long line of unique shows were lifelong friendships and endless memories are formed. FAB.
A great read for any Anderson fan , The signed book including a signed postcard is a nice touch which you wouldn't get from Amazon. I like behind the scenes books and Richard James does a great job describing his memories working on Space precinct , and buying from the Anderson store gives it that personal touch. Great service and quick despatch thank you.
