Robert Harrop SPV from Captain Scarlet

First aired in 1967, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons was created by Gerry Anderson and was his follow-up to the successful Thunderbirds series.  Having a very complex plot (much too complex to fully explain here!), Captain Scarlet was set in the year 2068 and shown over a total of 32 episodes.

The series follows the hostilities between mankind and the Mysterons, with the indestructible Captain Scarlet and Spectrum at the forefront to save the Earth from Mysteron destruction.  A shift in style from the Thunderbirds - the puppets are more life-like in appearance and proportions - and darker undertones, created a much more adult appeal, which is just as strong today as it was some 50 years ago.
