Following the success of the Supercar, Thunderbirds and UFO LP Soundtracks from Silva Screen Records The Official Gerry Anderson Store is excited to offer a further original TV Soundtrack! This Fireball XL5 release is presented on transparent Orange Vinyl and will make a nice edition to every fans collection. Note: This is NOT the Fireball 7" single which is also available in our store.
Fireball XL5 was set in 2062 and followed the exploits of the eponymous spaceship commanded by Colonel Steve Zodiac of the World Space Patrol. It was produced, like most other Anderson productions, in Supermarionation, using puppetry techniques that captured the imagination of a generation.
Composer Barry Gray collaborated with the Andersons on all the Supermarionation series, his jazzy style supplemented by the use of an electronically augmented keyboard, the Ondes Martenot, creating the other-worldly atmosphere which became synonymous with the sci-fi series.

The gate fold album cover is beautifully done and loaded with great information about the show and it’s soundtrack. The orange vinyl records are so cool to look at and even better to listen to. The sound quality of these recordings is amazing. If they ever decide to issue a vinyl soundtrack for Stingray or Joe 90 I will be first in line to purchase both! Thank you!!
